Verantis has no accounts and no login. We collect as little as possible — mostly anonymous — to run, secure, and improve a free directory.
Last updated: 18 August 2026 · Effective: 18 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what we collect when you use the Verantis website, directory, public API, and MCP server (the "Service"), operated by Verantis ("we", "us"). It should be read with our Terms of Service. There are no user accounts and no authentication — we never ask for a name, email, password, or payment details.
Query data. When you query the API or MCP server, we log the request so we can operate and improve the Service. Each log entry contains: the query parameters (for example a search term, filters such as chain or price, or a wallet address you asked us to check), a timestamp, the request source (api, mcp, or dashboard), and the number of results returned. Note that a wallet address you ask us to check is a query parameter and is recorded as part of that request.
Anonymous install identifier. Agents connecting via the MCP client may send a randomly generated, self-assigned identifier (the X-Verantis-Client header) so we can count distinct installs. This identifier is anonymous, is not verified, and is not tied to your name or identity; it can be regenerated or omitted, and we treat install counts as inflatable rather than authoritative.
IP address. Like any web service, our servers and hosting providers receive your IP address with each request. We use it transiently for rate-limiting and abuse prevention. We do not store your IP address in our query log.
Technical data via providers. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare and our API on Render; these providers process standard technical request data (such as IP, user-agent, and timing) to deliver and protect the Service, under their own terms. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.
We do not knowingly collect special categories of data, and the Service is not directed at children.
Where the GDPR applies, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running, securing, and improving a free public service, in a way that is proportionate and minimally intrusive.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data only: with hosting and infrastructure providers who process it on our behalf to run the Service; as aggregated or anonymized statistics that do not identify you; and where required by law or to protect the Service, our rights, or safety. Because our data is designed to be recomputable from public sources, published figures reflect public facts, not your identity.
We keep query logs only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above — and then delete or aggregate them. We aim to retain raw query logs for no more than twelve (12) months, after which entries are aggregated into non-identifying statistics or removed. IP addresses used for rate-limiting are held only transiently.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, or Singapore's PDPA). Because we collect no account data and most of what we log is anonymous or not linkable to an identified person, we often cannot connect a log entry to you, and may be unable to fulfil an individual request without additional information that we do not have. You can also reduce what is collected by regenerating or omitting the MCP client identifier. To make a request or ask a question, contact us below.
We and our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers. By using the Service, you understand your request data may be processed in those locations.
The Verantis marketing site and directory are designed to work without advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any storage used is limited to what is necessary to operate the site (for example remembering a filter you set). We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and, where practical, noted on the site. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
